In this one-day course, participants will dive into the world of woodworking by learning how to create a functional wooden mallet using hand tools. This hands-on workshop is designed to provide a solid foundation in basic woodworking techniques and tool usage. Participants will gain practical skills in measuring, cutting, shaping, and finishing wood while focusing on safety and precision.

Marking and measuring the wood for cutting and shaping
Shaping the Mallet Head
Hands-on practice in using handsaws, planes and chisels to shape the mallet head
Guidance on achieving the desired design and proportions
Assembling and Finishing the Mallet
By the end of the course, participants will have crafted their own wooden mallet,
gaining practical skills in woodworking and a deeper understanding of tool usage,
wood selection, and finishing techniques. This course provides a solid foundation
